My I140 is approved and my I485/EAD/AP was applied last month and nothing is approved yet.
The company finances are not looking good , if I lose the job then what would happen to my GC application. I am hoping to get EAD before company pulls the wire on me though.
What would be my best options. Please reply ASAP

hello all,
I wanted a clarification regarding address change:
My company changed address recently from address City A to address City B (same county, same metropolitan area). Do you know if I need to do any LCA Amendment?
I had consulted a lawyer regarding this, he said we don't need to do any LCA Amendment since it is the same metropolitan area.
Also I am not getting any clear answers from any other websites.
Wanted to cross check with you all. If anybody know please help.

We still in negotiation. not come to a stage where EAD has been asked for. i am wondering what else could they ask for other than EAD like do they need to provide any proof that they will sponsor my green card or do i need to file AC21 in advance.

hi, i just got my receipt and fingerprint apointment for the I-485 (mine is a family petition with the I-130 approved) couples of weeks ago(my fingerprint apointment is next week), and yesterday i got a letter with request of evidence that says;
The Household menber (me) on form 864A, Contract between Sponsor and Household Member provided a different address from the petitioner/sponsor on form 864A, Afiidavit of support an/or is not listed as dependent on the petitioner/sponsor's federal income tax return.
Please submit evidense that the household member listed on form I-864A, lives at the same address as the petitioner/sponsor or was listed as dependent on the petitioner/sponsor's federal income tar return
I want to know what can i sent in order to prove that i live in the same house. My stepdad (my peticioner) couldn't put me in his tax because they said he couldn't because i don't have a social security number yet. Do the guy who does our taxes make a letter stating i live there but could'nt be included in the taxes? or should my stepdad do it? or does mail could be consider evidence or a copy of my drivers license with the same address?
My mom went throught the same, they kept asking her for more evidence but eventually she got all her papers. I wish this could be more easy.

In the US, attorney ethics rules vary somewhat from state to state. In most states, you are clearly entitled to all substantive materials contained in your case file. Unless the retainer/fee agreement clearly obligates you to pay for copying costs in this circumstance, the law firm should give you the documents you want without charge.

I have couple of questions regarding timeperiod for which I can stay outside US while my I-485 is pending . I had to undergo a re-do surgery of my back in India and was adviced complete bed rest till it heals due to which I am outside US since Jan ending till date
1) Will it effect my GC application as some say its not good to stay more than 180 days outside US continously.
2) I am on H1 status will it be a issue at POE to have gone for this long
3) What docs should I be carrying to awnser questions at POE.Is client letter mandatory or continued employment letter and I797 good

I would advise a consultation with a good attorney, this is a very important matter for you. Some attorney's will answer an initial question free on the web- gives you some preliminary info.

My I-140 was filed via regular processing then later shifted to premium processing in Aug 2006, approved in Oct 2006 Nebraska Center and was received at the NVC in December 2006 and given an NVC Case number.
I know someone who has a priority date of june 2006 and I-140 approved last january 2007. The document is not yet received by the NVC.
Which one will the NVC process first? My papers that was received by the NVC first. Or will it still follow the priority date?

Could you please pm us the IP address of your machine. It will help us to diagnose the problem and/or let you know the reason. Its possible that your work environment is using NATing. I have a PD of April 2008 in the EB2-I category, but am exploring the option of switching to EB1 if possible. I am a clinical psychologist, working in a not-for-profit agency. What are my chances? Does it depend more on the case itself or a really good lawyer who can present your case in the best way it can be presented? This is a really stressful situation because my husband's H1-B runs out next summer and we cannot live here on just my income. Any feedback?
