Does anyone know if it is easier to get medical residency on EAD as opposed to H1/J1 or are you considered in the same boat as H1/J1 applicants?

On H1/J1 you have to find a sponsor to accept you in their program. With EAD you can work for anyone.Of course the pool of institutions accepting folks on EAD is bigger than H1/J1 .
Whether it's easier or not depends on your credentials , talent etc

Hello Experts,
I am on H1 and have my labor approved. My spouse is on F1 and we are filing I-140. Would there be a problem?
Because of Retrogression for India we cannot file for I-485 yet.
Please advise

What happens, once he moves to the new employer and his present employer withdraws I-140? For any subsequent H1 transfers/extensions will he will need to have an approved I-140, which is not withdrawn ?

Are you sure that it needs to be done on stamp paper? I just notarized them from India on plain paper.
I got exact query.
All you need is Affidavits from you Father, Mother and any other close relative. Ask them to go to your local court house. There will be people sitting there who do prepare affidavits and notarize them. They need to do it on 10 Rupees stamp paper and get it notarized. They shall have the date of birth affidavit template at court house.
Once they have them, ask them to scan and send them to you to save time. Also ask them to DHL the originals so that you could recieve in 2 or 3days.

i am not a lawyer, so what i state here is from my personal experience. i have been to hawaii on an H1B 3 years ago. there was absolutely no problem anywhere. its like flying to any of the 48 mainland states. no one asked for passports anywhere ( i did not even carry it).
I ofcourse flew to hawaii, but i have taken cruises to mexico.
as long as the cruise ship does not touch a foreign port, you are good. check with the cruise company if they need a passport. they usually have info on what is required. before entering the ship, your papers are checked and if there is something needed for immigration when you return(like from mexico), they wont let you in until you show them the documents.
since you are boarding from US, visiting an US state, coming back to US, there should be no problem.

Same here: Filed AP on August 1st and got the receipt on the 25th, but have yet to receive the I-485/EAD receipts, which were filed on July 6. What can we do?

Do not mean to hijack the thread but the question hopefully is related.
When I submitted my 485 application, my wife and I requested just the EADs. We have the receipt notice as well as the EAD in our hands. Our FP is done as well.
We are now submitting our AP applications. If anyone has submitted late like myself in the recent past, I would appreciate this information.
1.) Could anyone let me know the appropriate documents for this?
2.) Also, what are the fees associated with it, especially with all the old vs new stuff?

Why are you worrying much, Why dont you go back to India and come back after one year. Then file for green card. When you do not have project for 6 months why are you worrying for green card?
If you are not married, go back to India find a nice girl get married, enjoy for one yr and come back again.By that time economy will improve and you get project easily.
